Increased Monitoring on Site - May 2026

From "Suffolk Mains Renewal, Fressingfield"

Go to the project

Hi everyone,

We’ve recently seen a rise in general antisocial behaviour and speeding in the area around our working site. To make sure our team can continue to work safely, we’ve put some additional monitoring measures in place and are reminding everyone on site to remain alert to their surroundings.

These steps are purely precautionary and are part of our standard approach to keeping our people, partners and the wider community safe while we carry out this work.

We’ll continue to review the situation and adjust our safety measures as needed throughout the project.

Thank you,

The Project Team

All well and good your team is concerned about your workforce and rightly so, but the utter lack of consideration for the residents in Church Street is appalling . We have several times during your company's road closures and diversions incl. a couple of years ago asked for traffic lights to manage the flow of traffic just to be brushed aside by the answer, highways are happy. I would state that your lack of concern for your customers and Church Street residents is as bad as it gets ! We are the ones who have to negotiate what you are stating above but without and instruments to safeguard our daily lives unlike your well protected workers. I guess your pursuit of profits comes before us residents and is just seen as collateral damage , at least that is what several of Church Street residents feel like.
