Hi everyone,
ESW & TfL are working hard to complete the project as soon as possible, while ensuring infrastructure is safe, fully assured and ready to enter service.
Complex work remains, but we currently expect to complete our works and hand the site back to TfL by the end of August. Following this, TfL will need to complete final reinstatement and resurfacing works in the area where work has been taking place before they can fully reopen the road network.
ESW will continue to carry out our remaining works, which includes complex remedial works in the tunnel and carrying out testing to confirm that the repair is complete.
The replacement of a section of pipework is also underway as we shared last week, and testing will be carried out to ensure this has rectified the identified defect.
Once the above work has been completed, our final testing and cleansing of the new main will take place, including the final connections to our network. It is at this stage we will hand the site back to TfL.
We are very sorry for the ongoing inconvenience caused by these works, which all parties are working to complete with the least possible amount of additional disruption.
TfL will provide a final completion date, once they are in a position to do so.
