The work is scheduled to begin on 21st July 2025 and we anticipate it will last until November 2025.

The majority of the work will take place in the adjacent fields, minimising any disruption. However, there will be some instances where we need to work within the road carriageway for short sections. For everyone’s safety, we will implement traffic management during these times. Rest assured, we will give you advance notice with clear signs outlining the dates and times of any road work approximately two weeks before it begins. At present, this section of the work is expected to take place in October 2025.

As the project takes place, we will keep you informed of our progress and any updates on the key stages (particularly the sections in the roadway) and the completion date.

Good Morning, Many thanks for sending out letters with the current information. We live in Lawlinge Road, Latchingdon CM3 6JY. In the past when the main road to Mayland is closed for works we always have a major problem with vehicles using our road as a short cut. With the road being closed from Latchingdon Church we are concerned that vehicles will try to cut through using the Burnham road entrance only to find that our road is closed at the Steeple Road entrance. This will cause us extreme issues as vehicles (including HGV's) will try to then reverse back down our road! We would appreciate it if you could put a sign at each end of our road advising vehicles that it is access for residents only and no access to Steeple road.     Hi. Thanks for your letter of 4th September, received today, 19th September. Your map has a couple of items I would like clarification on. Firstly, the map shows that the 3-way roundabout junction on the B1018 and Steeple Road is marked in red, implying that this junction is to be closed. Can you confirm that this is an error, or is the junction really going to be closed? Secondly, your map shows Grange Avenue, but it is not named on the map, and is not listed a part of a diversion route. Can you confirm that this road is not available as a diversion route, or that it has been accidently omitted? Both these matters will be of great concern to the 3000 or so people living in Mayland.
