Essex & Suffolk Water has now appointed its partner, Farrans Construction, to deliver this work.
Site work started in February with installation of site cabins which will remain until works are complete.
The old concrete yard was demolished in March to allow the new construction to start.
Below ground pipework and the new concrete foundation slab will be installed during the spring & early summer.
The steel superstructure will then be erected before delivery and installation of the filter tanks in the autumn. Process pipework and cabling follow, with testing and commissioning in the late spring & summer. We expect to clear site in August 2026.
