Hi everyone,
Following yesterday's burst we wanted to give you an update. Repairs to the water main have now been completed and water supplies have been restored to affected customers.
We would like to confirm that the burst occurred on the existing 6-inch water main and not on the newly installed replacement main associated with our current investment programme.
The incident caused significant damage to the road and adjacent bank. Further engineering and reinstatement works are now required to repair the area safely, meaning road closures are expected to remain in place while these works are completed.
We'd like to thank customers for their patience and understanding while emergency repairs were carried out.
