πŸ‘‹ Welcome!

We would like to introduce a new project at Hanningfield Reservoir and provide an overview of the planned work.

🚧 Work is planned to begin in early August 2026 and will include the design, installation, commissioning, and testing of new compressors at Hanningfield Reservoir. This work will help improve the quality of the raw water and support the wider ecosystem within the reservoir πŸŒΏπŸ’§

πŸ“’ As the project progresses, we’ll share regular updates here to keep you informed about what’s happening and what to expect. Your views are really important to us, so we’d love to hear from you.

πŸ’¬ If you have any questions or need any additional support, please leave a comment on this Community Hub page by leaving a comment below and a member of the Project Team will be happy to help.

Are we expecting water rationing?

@Tony Dunsdon Hi Tony, thank you for your message and time waiting for my response while I contacted the Project Team for you. While we're not introducing a temporary usage ban (hosepipe ban) at this time, we are keeping a close eye on water resources and asking our customers to help by using water wisely wherever possible. Using water wisely at home can make a big difference. You can help by: β€’ Taking showers β€’ Using a watering can or bucket instead of a hose β€’ Only run your washing machine and dishwater when they are full β€’ Fix any dripping taps. β€’ Checking your toilets for leaks. We fix leaking toilets for free. You can report a leaky loo here https://www.eswater.co.uk/help-and-support/water/leaks/leaky-loos/ Essex & Suffolk Water has one of the lowest leakage rates in the industry, but hot, dry weather can make leaks and bursts more likely. As the ground dries out and shifts, which cause pipes, joints and fittings to move and potentially crack. If you spot a leak, please report it here Report Water Problems Or Water Wastage or ring 03457820111 and stay on the phone to report an emergency. Thanks again and if there is anything else I can support with let me know. The Project Team
