Barsham Water Treatment Works Upgrade
Project Overview
We are investing £52.1 million to upgrade our Water Treatment Works in Barsham.
The work will strengthen the reliability of the water supply to our customers and help protect the River Waveney.
As part of the project, a new underground reservoir next to the existing Water Treatment Works will support supply to communities in the area. This includes Beccles, Bungay, Lowestoft, Shadingfield and Ilketshall.
A new Treatment Works Process will replace the existing process to improve efficiency.
