Park Road Water Pipe Replacement

Project Overview

The Park Road, Flixton (Bungay) water pipe replacement has been selected as one of the priority upgrade projects within the Suffolk area. This location has a recorded history of bursts, along with clear evidence that the existing infrastructure is is in need of an upgrade. As a result, it has been identified as a key candidate for inclusion within our wider water network upgrade programme.

The upgrade also includes the replacement of customer communication pipes and boundary boxes, helping to improve overall network performance, reduce leakage, and enhance long‑term water supply reliability.

To minimise disruption to residents, road users, and local businesses, we will be using directional drilling our fastest and least intrusive installation method. This trenchless technique allows the new pipes to be installed underground with significantly reduced excavation, noise, and traffic impact.
